A pSIM is basically your regular physical old SIM card we’ve all been using for years.
Opted for an eSIM? Or just curious what the heck that is? Head over to our eSIM page.
Otherwise, if you've just received your SIM card by courier and need to know what’s next, or just want some more basic info - you're in the right place.

Your physical SIM card will be automatically activated on your selected connection date. If you want to get going sooner, drop us a line on live chat.
Just pop the new SIM into your device and you're away. Billing begins either 14 days after activation or upon first usage, whichever happens first. We’ll send you an email reminder on day 13 to let you know that billing will start the following day.
On your selected connection day (we will remind you via email), you will receive a message from 2542 to your old SIM asking if you want to port.
You will have received a tracking email for your SIM when you joined - so check that it hasn’t gone into spam or anything like that. There’s a link in the email you can access to keep an eye on the delivery status. If in doubt, contact the team on live chat and we can take a look.
The SIM card we send is a 3in1. Basically this will allow you to 'pop out' the SIM to whichever size you need, where it's nano/micro/regular.
If all else fails, restart your device - and if that doesn’t help, drop us a line on live chat.
If your SIM card is locked due to entering the PIN code incorrectly multiple times, you may need a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code to unlock it. Head over to this page for more info.
Contact us immediately on live chat to organise a replacement, and in the case where it's lost/stolen place a block on your SIM. Our lost and stolen page has more details on that side of things.
This will differ slightly by device, but you'll need to locate the SIM card slot (often found near the battery or on the side).Remove the SIM tray using a pin or SIM eject tool that came with your phone, place the SIM card into the tray, and then put the tray back into the device.
If in doubt, check your phone's user manual, or have a cheeky google search (there’s heaps of youtube videos on that sort of thing if you’d prefer).
Yup! Just make sure the phone you're putting it in is unlocked and supports the same type of SIM card (ie: standard, micro, nano).
